Ingredients

  • Moringa leaves – 2 cups, washed
  • Moong dal – 1/4 cup, soaked for 30 minutes
  • Onion – 1, chopped
  • Green chilies – 1 to 2, chopped
  • Garlic – 4 cloves
  • Ginger – 1-inch piece, chopped
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Salt – To taste
  • Black pepper – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Water – 3 cups
  • Samāh Seed Cycling Mix – 1 scoop
  • Optional – Lemon juice for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker or large pot, sauté the onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies in a bit of oil until fragrant.
  2. Add the soaked lentils, moringa leaves, turmeric, salt, pepper, garam masala, and water.
  3. Pressure cook for 2–3 whistles (or simmer for 25–30 minutes) until the lentils are soft. Allow to cool slightly, then blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Stir in the Samāh Seed Cycling Mix and blend again briefly if needed.
  5. Serve warm. Add a squeeze of lemon juice just before serving, if desired.
